Petrova Elementary / Middle School

The Petrova School was built in 1924 with additions in 1936, 1969, and 1996. Presently the building houses grades K-8 with approximately 350 elementary students and approximately 400 Middle School students.
Lake Colby School

Lake Colby School was built in 1948 as a 6000 square foot elementary school. Presently the building houses K & Pre 1st with approximately 60 students.
Lake Clear School

The Lake Clear School was built in 1955 as a 7000 square foot elementary school with four full-size classrooms, playroom/cafeteria, kitchen, storage/teacher workroom, boiler room and rest rooms. Presently the building houses grades K-3 with approximately 65 students.
Bloomingdale School

The Bloomingdale School was built in 1967-68 as a 23,000 square foot elementary school. Presently the building houses grades K-5 with approximately 195 students.
High School

The High School was built in 1968 as a 98,000 square foot high school. Presently the building houses grades 9-12, with approximately 640 students.

The Saranac Lake Central School District is the largest geographical school district in New York State, covering over 600 square miles. Transportation is accomplished with a fleet of 25 buses traveling roughly 400,000 miles per year.
Transportation is provided on the following basis:
Students in grades K-5 are all provided busing.
Grades 6-8 ... students must reside in excess of one mile from the school. Grades 9-12 ... students must reside in excess of one and a half miles from school.
